Yes it’s been a year! On my first blog a year ago I commented on a famous Woodstock photograph, so today I will do the same.

“In the green firmament of a slough, galaxies of duckweed are stirred by slow moving waters. Florida’s Seminole call this section of swamp the Jurassic.”
Recently on a Jewelry Photography shoot I was asked by my client, HOW DO YOU DO IT? HOW DO YOU GET TO DO THESE SHOTS? The answer in short, I said It’s NOT the camera, but KNOWING how to use it. The ring below is a good example, with it’s many reflections, the setup and lighting has to be just right. Certainly Jewelry photography is a challenge, these High End Diamond Rings are worth Millions of dollars and are worthy of only the best photography I can produce.

Artist Tia Crystal has been the focus of a lot attention lately with her amazing paintings. We at Lloyd’s Studio Photography have been key in the development of her on line presence with our video and photographic services.
Here is my latest Fashion shoot… we wanted a “fantasy” look to it, and Dawn and I had planned the look weeks in advanced, she even came in to the studio days before to go over the finer points.

In my latest photo shoots, not only do I take still images, but I create these video pod casts, edit them, add a company logo and the client’s phone number. These sample video pod casts play on the client’s website showcasing a product or service. Below is a sample with my logo to show that I provide this video production service and the actual video with the client’s logo and other info below that. Note, in an earlier post I had already shown other similar videos but from a different client and her video testimonial.
Below is the actual client e-video marketing sample of the same…

Well another year and now a new decade… so… what better way to start than to look to the past and wonder about the future. It’s time for this month’s historic photographs and as promised it’s another whopper of a secret: ANCIENT BOCA RATON! Hard to believe about Boca in ancient times… but there was such a time and place…
Boca Raton ancient Barnhill mound circa 1920's
Yes! This mound is in Boca Raton and it is said to be 1000 to 2000 years old!
ANCIENT BOCA RATON DISPLAY
It is said that the Barnhill Mound and near by village was occupied by the Tequesta, the Jeagas and the Ais tribescenturies ago. The photograph above shows a depiction of the village flanked by Native Americans. Africa-USA owners also tried to make a tourist attraction of the area but tourist traffic dwindelled with the construction of I-95. Sadly in the 1980′s it was sold to construct what is now the Boca Marina Yacht Club development. Such a site should have been set aside like the Miami Circle, but I guess at the time progress and development won out.

Yea… Can you Beleive it?… LOL just kidding but I have VIDEO!!! I Created this video for the Holidays.
Well this year is almost over and I decided to do something fun for the holidays! I noticed the Statue of Mr. Addison Mizner with his Monkey on his arm, It’s across the way from my studio at THE BOCA GRAND BUILDING in the corner of SE4th and federal. At night it is lit in many holiday colors so this served as my inspiration for this HD video I took with my Canon Eos 5D Mark II and to top it off I “Digitally added” some SNOW! At night I also videoed the colorful lights, it gives downtown Boca a “holiday feel” that I enjoy. Check out these pics and videos I took at night!
