Jewelry Photography
July 16, 2010Recently on a Jewelry Photography shoot I was asked by my client, HOW DO YOU DO IT? HOW DO YOU GET TO DO THESE SHOTS? The answer in short, I said It’s NOT the camera, but KNOWING how to use it. The ring below is a good example, with it’s many reflections, the setup and lighting has to be just right. Certainly Jewelry photography is a challenge, these High End Diamond Rings are worth Millions of dollars and are worthy of only the best photography I can produce.
Here is another sample.

Boca Raton Historic Photographs: ANCIENT BOCA RATON!
January 7, 2010Well another year and now a new decade… so… what better way to start than to look to the past and wonder about the future. It’s time for this month’s historic photographs and as promised it’s another whopper of a secret: ANCIENT BOCA RATON! Hard to believe about Boca in ancient times… but there was such a time and place…
Yes! This mound is in Boca Raton and it is said to be 1000 to 2000 years old!
It is said that the Barnhill Mound and near by village was occupied by the Tequesta, the Jeagas and the Ais tribes centuries ago. The photograph above shows a depiction of the village flanked by Native Americans. Africa-USA owners also tried to make a tourist attraction of the area but tourist traffic dwindelled with the construction of I-95. Sadly in the 1980′s it was sold to construct what is now the Boca Marina Yacht Club development. Such a site should have been set aside like the Miami Circle, but I guess at the time progress and development won out.
It’s Snowing in Boca!
December 30, 2009Yea… Can you Beleive it?… LOL just kidding but I have VIDEO!!! I Created this video for the Holidays.
Well this year is almost over and I decided to do something fun for the holidays! I noticed the Statue of Mr. Addison Mizner with his Monkey on his arm, It’s across the way from my studio at THE BOCA GRAND BUILDING in the corner of SE4th and federal. At night it is lit in many holiday colors so this served as my inspiration for this HD video I took with my Canon Eos 5D Mark II and to top it off I “Digitally added” some SNOW! At night I also videoed the colorful lights, it gives downtown Boca a “holiday feel” that I enjoy. Check out these pics and videos I took at night!

Here is the statue during the day and behind is THE BOCA GRAND BUILDING.

Canadian Passport Photos in Boca Raton Update
November 24, 2009Just some helpful information on the Canadian Passport Photo Clinics. We always are asked if we do the Canadian Passport pictures to the correct specifications, especially from people whose “pharmacy photos” have been rejected. We are on the Canadian Consulate list of approved photographers and are often asked about them. When they realize we know what we are talking about they are very happy to have found us. Please call us to make an appointment (561) 394-8399. The Canadian consulate in Miami sent us this update on their clinics to pass on to you.
