It happened this morning, I got an email from YouTube mentioning that my You-tube Channel was eligible to earn revenue! Here is the actual email:

The email instructed me on how and where to set up my Google Ad-sense Account to be eligible to “MONETIZE” my videos, it was very easy to follow the steps to completion.
Then I got my email confirmation! So I checked out my videos and VOILA! Here is a screen capture of my video with Google advertising on it! Yay !!!
I got a GREAT present for Christmas this year and early to boot… not from Santa but maybe even BETTER!

At first I thought it was a regular Google advertisement piece…. but then I read the letter and started to jump up and down, I could not believe what I was reading it was like I won the LOTTERY!!!

The letter basically said:“Congratulations! You’re a Favorite Place on Google”…

it also included a sticker (they call it a decal) for me to put on my door… so I did, here is the video:

How did Google decide which businesses would receive the decal? The list was determined based on the popularity of a business’ Local Business Center listing, as determined by how many times Google users looked for more information about a business, requested driving directions to get there, and more. Google users “decided” based on their actions, and we sent the decals.
How selective was Google in selecting the businesses to receive the decal? Over 100,000 businesses were identified as Favorite Places, representing less than 1% of the 28 million U.S. businesses. We believe that our standards for selecting businesses are as selective or more selective than other companies which have run similar initiatives.
